JEREMY
Jérémy "Smith" de Champris — Biography

Jérémy de Champris is a multi-talented artist whose creative journey began at an early age, driven by a passion for drawing and music. Picking up the guitar at just 10 years old, he quickly developed a strong artistic identity, expressing himself both through intricate sketches and as a graffiti artist. Alongside his artistic pursuits, he was also a karting driver, embracing speed and precision from a young age.
In 2009, Jérémy moved to Dubai, where he deepened his creative path by studying Audio Engineering in SAE Institute media college. Immersed in music, he performed as a guitarist and bass guitarist in a cover band, playing many concerts and gaining valuable stage experience. Over time, he expanded his skills into music production and composition, shaping a versatile artistic profile.
He graduated from SAE in October 2014, marking a key milestone in what seemed to be the beginning of a promising creative career. Just three weeks later, on November 11, he was involved in a devastating road accident that left him with single-sided deafness, among other permanent injuries. The accident became a profound turning point in his life, forcing him to rebuild from the ground up and reshaping not only his path as an artist, but his entire existence.
Starting his adolescence, Jérémy was deeply drawn to Japanese pop culture's strong graphic identity and visual similarities with street art/graffiti. Anime and manga have always been a major influence on his creative vision. This cultural passion shaped both his artistic style and ambitions.
After the accident, Japan was no longer simply a place he wanted to visit. Against the advice of those around him, he chose it as the place of his rebirth — the spark that ignited his recovery, his transformation, and the life he was determined to build. In many ways, Japan became his passage back to life.
